FOUR GREAT PROGRAMS TO CHOOSE FROM!
Babysitting Course for Youth is a comprehensive, one-day program designed for ages 11 to 15 that teaches essential skills for safe and responsible babysitting. Participants learn how to find safe work opportunities, basic first aid including choking and CPR, and foundational childcare techniques through engaging discussions and interactive activities such as diaper changing and team-building exercises. This course empowers young caregivers with the confidence and knowledge they need to provide safe, attentive care.
Home Alone Safety for Kids is a comprehensive safety program that prepares children aged 9 – 12 to be on their own at home or elsewhere for short periods of time. In addition to traditional content of a home alone course, this course also includes internet safety, street smarts, people safety both online and offline, first aid & injury prevention, fire safety and a step-by-step home alone readiness plan for parents and children.
Online Course – Home Alone Safety for Kids is the online version of the popular in-class course of the same name. This program sits on our learning management system at HomeAloneCourse.com. By joining the Reseller program, resellers can sell the Online Course from the reseller’s website. Contact us for more details.
My Safe Life – Personal Safety for Kids is designed to give children 7 – 10 years old the tools and life skills they need to make safe and confident choices at home, school, online and during activities. Children learn practical strategies to identify and deal with tricky people, safe strangers, bullying as well as how to get help from busy adults and building strong communities. Other topics covered are internet safety, travel safety, fire safety, emergencies and non-emergencies, and preventing injuries throughout their lives.
Safety for Independent Living was created to help youth and adults with developmental disabilities feel safe in all their usual places: home, work, school, online and in the community. Through games, digital media, video and colorful graphics, this comprehensive 8-10 hour safety program empowers people with tools to make confident choices and live a safe life.
Sexual Health and Confidence Workshop was created in collaboration with Community Living for adults with developmental disabilities.
WHO CAN BECOME A PROGRAM PARTNER
We’re excited to welcome partners who share our commitment to child safety! To join us as a program partner, you’ll need to:
- Be a registered business, non-profit, or youth-serving organization.
- Maintain at least $2 million in general liability insurance.
- Provide a safe facility (either per-use or permanent) where your facilitators can deliver SOS 4 Kids’ programs.
- Have facilitators, who meet our teaching criteria, become certified by SOS 4 Kids to deliver our programs.
