👶🏡 Injuries at home send over 20,000 children to emergency departments across Canada each year - that's about 55 kids daily! More than half of these injuries are due to falls from furniture and stairs, and even falling through windows. Burns, mainly from hot liquids and scalding tap water, often require long hospital stays and lifelong treatments. Poisoning from medications, household cleaners, and personal care products is common. Choking hazards usually come from food, and strangulation risks from window blind cords. This week is Safe Kids Week, so if you are a parent or have little ones who visit your home, take a moment and ensure you know all that you can do to prevent injuries and make your home safer here: ow.ly/H4Ks50S9RCp #HomeSafety #SafeKidsWeek --👶🏡 Chaque année au Canada, plus de 20 000 enfants se blessent assez gravement à la maison pour être vus à l’hôpital, ce qui équivaut à 55 visites aux urgences par jour!
